What a clever way to do a bodyswap story! Can I get directions to that dealer??? I would hope we get to see a sequel as Grandpa obviously has an all new adventure awaiting him and his sweet new ride! Not to mention a new look at life. It seems like there is a lot of story left to tell before this book is ready to be traded in on a new model, so start typing book 2 in the story, Katie! (Please!)

Secrets From The Past Provide Actions In The Present

A pregnant woman is found dead from gunshot wounds in the driver seat of a hired vehicle. Soon the local FBI team are on the scene.

The twenty-six year old victim is originally from Ireland. This story takes a while to get going. It is worth pursuing with it as uncovers the truth.

This is the fourth book in this series to feature Agent Ren Bryce. It is a help to be familiar with the character.

I was hoping this would be on a par or better than "Blood Loss"which was the last adventure for Ren and the Safer Streets Team. However, this is worth a try.

Harm's Reach

FBI agent Ren Bryce and cold case investigator Janine Hooks works together trying to solve the death of a pregnant woman. It seems that this case has links to a case from fifty years ago...

I enjoyed this book immensely, much thank to two extraordinary women that are a fantastic duo. I have been trying to think of two women working together that I like as much as I like Ren and Janine, but I can't think of any. The dialog between them are snappy and wonderful, just as between two best friends. Also, one thing that makes this book a bit different that other crime novels are the fact that Ren is bipolar and she is on medicine, but that doesn't mean that she is cured so she has her moments in the book. Janine also seems to have some problems, I mean who spends time in the middle of the night laying a jigsaw? I haven't read the previous three books (yet) so I don't know her history. I only know that she is really anxious to lose her job and that is something that really troubled her in this book.

The case was also very interesting. I have a weakness for cold cases and it was interesting to see how all the pieces fell slowly into place and how things in the past came to influence the present time. Beside the case was it also interesting to see how Ren dealt with being bipolar. In the text, you could see her answers, but in italics you could also see her thoughts and even though she is better you can tell that sometimes events make her very stingy. For instance, her telling her boyfriend about being bipolar was a big thing for her.

This is a great book. I ordered the next book after only reading 30% of it and I usually wait at least until the book is finished before I do that. I actually have ordered book two also so I'm looking forward getting them and getting to know Ren and Janine from the beginning.

This book can help you.

I bought this book for myself, I did not purchase the other book as my husband has recently become atheist. I have had struggles in my marriage since then so I bought this book to help work on myself. To help work on my love for my husband despite our major differences. It has, in a way, "forced" me to love him even on our bad days. This book can humble you, if you let it. I assume the Bethke's wrote this book with intentions of being a fun challenge for couples, but considering my situation this has instead left a different, but great impact on me. If your relationship is God based get this book, if one believes and the other doesn't, get this book, if you find it hard to love your husband, get the book. I don't think you'll regret it. This book will help you more than it will help him, as long as your not looking for anything in return.

Reflect Christ

I've been finding love in a new relationship as a single mom post divorce...we are both divorced with young children and needing healing. This book has helped me immensely in reflecting Christ to my partner. It's not always easy, especially when you've been hurt in the past, but God is faithful and can redeem that which the locust has eaten.

It's been good to give me more ideas for ways to actively show love to my husband. It's always good to be proactive about your marriage even in the good seasons. These are creative ways and tools that I can use for a long time. I originally thought it was more of a marriage building tool to do together and discuss, but the books are more individual than I thought.
