Not great, but if you have some time to kill not totally useless

I really liked the initial insights about SLAs, those were valuable. Otherwise, In a light manner I would liken this to learning a new language, then immediately using the words you just learned to get in to a technical conversation, it's hazy and confusing from the start because you are dealing with language then a complex topic on top of it. When I get in to a book that is not a technical manual (commands,etc), I expect the author to break off tiny tidbits of information, contextualize it, give real world examples for easy consumption. If I was in an environment that used this system already, I can see it making a lot more sense because I would be looking for the gaps that I already knew existed, this is the trap I imagine the authors got caught up in and why they presumably thought this book was intelligible.
With a pretty slow read through, I couldn't implement anything at this point, I don't know the steps, I don't know the processes to create the steps, it's basically like I never even read the book, but it could just be me, take it for what it's worth.
Just so you can gauge where this is coming from, I have been in IT for roughly 10 years from helpdesk to Systems Architecture and was finding some failings in our organization with communications and process.
